Restoration Projects was needed to carry out the refurbishment and restoration on this 13-bedroom, Grade II listed house. This magnificent house was founded on a 16th century monastery, and in the forthcoming centuries, extended to this beautiful property. Externally, a traditional oak-framed porch was hand-crafted on site by our carpenters. Our master stonemason, Oliver, who has 20 years’ experience, completed the stone work. The roof had suffered for years from poor repairs. We surveyed and repaired it by enlisting our in-house roofing team, who have 65 years’ experience between them in listed buildings and ecclesiastical roof repair and replacement.

Refurbishing this building in Stratford was an incredibly satisfying project for the team at Rigton Developments Ltd! Our brief was ultimately to give the building a new lease of life and create a really interesting and contemporary space whilst working in the quintessentially non-standard buildings of the older part of Stratford! The building had so much character we wanted to retain some of those elements whilst also bringing the building in line with a more modern interior.
